Meet Your School Board Representative

Hello my name is Sandra “Samm” Darby.  I am the School Board Member and one of the schools that I represent is Bossier High School.  I attended Waller Elementary, Rusheon Jr. High and Bossier High School.  I graduated from Bossier High School at the age of 16 while in the 11thgrade

I strongly believe in the importance of EDUCATION…  You know, the Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge.  It goes on to say - in all thou getting – Get Understanding.

Students, I understand your struggles within the educational aspect.  I sought this position in hopes to enhance the School Board System.  My focus is what’s best for the students and teachers.  I have met with Mr. Thrash and would like to work closely with administration and staff, as well, to meet your educational needs.

Dreams can come true, if you work hard to achieve them.  I believe every child has a gift, talent and/or skills.  I want to provide an opportunity for your skills to be tapped into and develop your desire to learn achievement and independence.  This can be done by accessing state of the art technology which will improve teacher preparation and student learning.

It is my desire that one day we all will be able to say “The Teacher(s) Appeared and The Student(s) Listened”.

If I can be of assistance to you, please contact me at: (318) 453-6864
